April 1 1607 I kissed my mother a good bye, I was about to go to a long journey for land me and my mother are very poor all that happened because my father died. My father was a great man he was friend of a captain of a ship and his name was Henry Hudson. Henry Hudson is very rich and he promised my dad when he was going to die to teach me all about being a sailor. Henry Hudson taught me everything how to steer the wheel and about the astrolabe and the stargazer and maps and for free. Now he is going for his first exploration and I’m going with him and he told all the sailors “the first one to find land I will give my hafle of my fortune with them” I thought it was a good idea to find land because is I find it I’ll be rich and share my fortune with my mother. “ Everyone on board” said Buck, I said a final good bye I was afraid to not come back but the good thing I have my friend Buck to keep me company. When the ship left the dock there were tears in my eyes I felt like I was going to be separated from my mom. We started with luck there was a lot of wind and not big waves we were moving fast. It was 1607 the reborn age was about to end Henry Hudson wanted to find species like pepper or silks to be rich.
